Samuel Schmidt is an author, pastor, and theologian, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of contemporary preaching and discipleship. He is the Senior pastor of Edgewood Baptist Church in Nicholasville, Kentucky.  Samuel also serves as Development Director for Connect 316 and President of The Samuel Ministry.

Samuel is a graduate of Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, Kentucky, with a Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministry. He also graduated from Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky, with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies. He is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

He resides in Central Kentucky with his wife, Andrea, and son, Luke.

His hobbies include spending time with his family, writing, hunting, and firearm collecting. He is an avid Cincinnati Reds and Kentucky Wildcats fan, and although he loves it, a rather terrible golfer.
